Politically Homeless in america

Hello from Atlanta,

I want to tell you about a moment in the White Lotus TV show that made me think about politics in America

In a scene - set in fancy Thai resort - two women are stunned when their friend (with the great bob haircut) admits to being an independent.

Shock! Horror!

The problem with that reaction, and the political and media machine that reinforces left and right positions, is that a whole chunk of Americans are not part of the national conversation.

They are the politically homeless.

So what does being politically homeless look like in America right now? I think it's a bit like being one of those wandering souls of unbaptized babies in medieval Europe trapped in a centrist purgatory.

Take a listen to this week's podcast where I let you in on a dirty secret for America 2025 (hint: it's about the poliitcal middle)

Best,
Robyn
